Sermon-to-book
Turn a Body of Teaching Into a Book People Can Return To
A sermon series, ministry theme or collection of teaching may contain the foundation for a clear, useful book. We help organise and edit that material into a finished book or PDF without taking authorship away from the pastor.
- Pricing
First introductory book — $100
Standard book — $250
Recurring ministry program — $149/month for 2 books per month
Optional Amazon publishing — +$75 per book
- Inside the Department?
This is not part of the monthly service time. Monthly service time may be used for related content priorities, but book production has its own scope and price.
- Separate service?
Sermon-to-Book is a separate production service with its own pricing. Standard delivery is a finished book or PDF without publishing.
The process
From Teaching to Finished Resource
A book is more than a transcript. The process gives spoken teaching a structure that makes sense to a reader.
- 1
Choose the theme or series
We identify the subject, series or group of teachings that belongs together and clarify who the resource is for. A useful book has a purpose beyond simply collecting old material.
- 2
Organise the teaching
We map the strongest ideas into a logical sequence. This may combine messages, remove repetition, separate unrelated material and identify where an introduction or transition is needed.
- 3
Edit into readable chapters
Spoken language is edited for a reader while preserving the author's meaning and pastoral voice. Chapters are shaped so a person can follow the thought without hearing the original recording.
- 4
Produce the finished book
The approved content is prepared as a finished book or PDF. If Amazon publishing is wanted, it is an optional separate publishing step rather than an assumption built into delivery.
Choosing wisely
Start With Teaching That Has a Clear Thread
A book does not need to begin with a perfectly planned manuscript. It does need a coherent idea worth developing for a reader.
A series on a practical discipleship question, a set of messages on a book of the Bible, or a ministry theme returned to over time can be a strong starting point. The source material might already be in sermon notes, recordings, outlines or a mix of all three. We can look at what exists and help decide whether it has a book-shaped centre.
Not every sermon collection should become a book. Some teaching is best kept as a sermon content page, a series archive or a focused article. Others need more original development from the pastor before a reader would have a complete resource. We will say so rather than stretching thin material into a product.
The church should also decide what it wants the finished resource to do: help a newcomer learn a foundational truth, support a small group, preserve a ministry's teaching, or give supporters a readable way to engage with a theme. That purpose guides the structure and the final format.

Clear expectations
A Finished Book Is Not a Sales Promise
The goal is a faithful, usable resource for the people it is meant to serve. Production and promotion are different things.
What this service provides
We help move a body of teaching toward a coherent, readable book or PDF. The work includes organising material, editing it into chapters and preparing the finished resource through the agreed scope.
The pastor remains the author. Church leadership remains responsible for the teaching and final approval. A finished resource can be used in ministry, shared with supporters or retained as an organised record of teaching.
What we will not imply
A book being published does not mean it will sell. It does not create an audience, establish demand or produce income by itself. We make no sales promises.
Music distribution, printing, shipping, retail promotion and other outside costs or workflows are not silently included. If a church wants a separate next step, we discuss it plainly before proceeding.
Common questions
Questions About Sermon-to-Book
Who is listed as the author of the book?
The pastor remains the author of their own book. The teaching and pastoral voice belong to them; our work is to help organise, edit and produce the finished resource.
Do we need a completed manuscript before we start?
No. Sermons, teaching notes, recordings and outlines can be the starting material. We begin by identifying whether there is a clear theme or series that can be organised into a book.
Is Amazon publishing included?
No. Standard delivery is a finished book or PDF without publishing. Amazon publishing is optional at +$75 per book.
Can a book be part of our monthly digital marketing service time?
No. Sermon-to-Book is a separate production service with its own price and workflow. Related teaching pages or articles may be priorities within the monthly relationship, but book production is quoted separately.
Will a published book sell or create income for our ministry?
We make no sales promises. Publishing a book does not mean it will sell, create an audience or generate income. The first question is whether the finished resource is useful for the people your church wants to serve.
